At the Belmont Hill School, S.A.F.E (Students Actively Fostering Equality) host an annual Diversity Day that is celebrated school-wide, and on that day classes are cancelled so that the community can engage in a day of discussion, learning, and conversations about diversity and what it means.
The goal for Diversity Day is to offer students an opportunity to have conversations that we are not able to have (as an entire school) on a day-to-day basis. Through a series of workshop activities and a film screening, we hope to enlighten everyone on perspectives and issues surrounding diversity throughout our school community and on a larger scale throughout the world.
